I have so much in my head right now, but do not have time to blog it all... so instead I am sharing another of E's fabulous art projects.
We had our first parent teacher conference last night, and her teacher pointed out that on E's report card, she had gotten an "exceeds expectations" in art. She told us that she *never* gives that grade in art, but that E is so artistic, she had to do it. And then she gave us this picture that she copied out of E's journal for the day.
She said that she passed out their journals and told them to write about something they could see in the room and she said that it wasn't five minutes later that E said "I'm finished!!" and this was the picture she drew. I think it is just precious, (the actual picture is much more detailed, the bat even has little hands in his wings... awwww!) and I am framing it in my office for the rest of the month.
Now, an offshoot of this photo... am i the only one that thinks about the mean website where the guy made fun of the kids art everytime they share one of their kids drawings??? *sigh*... it is kind of funny though... But please don't mail Elizabeth's drawings to him!!!!!!
I will be back with a longer blog tonight.
*smooch*

LMAO!!! I was seriously craughing over that link. It's been a while since I saw it.
E is an ARTIST! How awesome!
The drawing of Bethany's that I posted a while back reminded me of that meanie heads critiques. They are hilarious though.
I had forgotten about that web site!
Have you seen the Baby's Named a Bad, Bad Thing web site? I thought it was hilarious, but after I joined Babycenter I realized the person took posts from parent boards and then made fun of them--not so nice!

I love you Nat, but that link drives me crazy.
I automatically want to know how old the kids are, and then analyze their artistic abilities and how it represents their developmental levels, blahblahblahblahblahblahblah. I want to write that guy an email and explain to him in jargon far too advanced for his itty-bitty brain WHY it is that little Suzie's letters are jumbled and how that's a defined stage known as "pre-writing" blahblahblahblahblahblahblah.
It irks me to then n-th degree.
E's picture, on the other hand, is great. Wish there were a more detailed photo! But, hey, we take what we can get. :)
