A man and woman have been married nearly 11 years. They have two children and do not get out much. They do, however, belong to a varied assortment of internet communities.
Their computer dies, right before the weekend. Each pretends to have a lesser addiction than the other. "Oh, I can just get on the 'net at work, no big deal."
"Uh huh! Me too. No big deal!!"
How long before one of them breaks and they go buy a new computer?

I hate it when our computer's down. I spend the whole time thinking, "I'll just check my email. No, wait. I can't do that. Guess I'll just check Babycenter. Oops, can't do that. Guess I'll--" etc. etc. When they just implant the darn things in our brains it will be much easier.
I have a feeling the same thing would have happened in my house. BUT I have an excuse if my breaks.....I have to have it to work because my home is my work. We can't go 24 hours without one, or power or phone lines or cable or directv. We are pathetic.

We moved to a new house back in October. Moved in on a Saturday, had the cable modem hooked up on Sunday! Mind you, we didn't care about the cable tv until a few months later -- but had to have that internet as quickly as possible!!!
