(excuse the horrid pixelation on my widdle family!!)Sunday, we went to have our family pics made in Hot Springs. My super talented photographer / insurance / stripper friend Misty takes our pics every year but refuses to let me pay her. She even brings me professional film! She is so nice. (And yes, I am working on a little gift for her... but don't tell!!)
Before we went to meet Misty, we stopped at the mall to have the kid's pics taken with Santa. We were in a hurry because it was 2:15 when we left the mall and we were supposed to meet Misty all the way downtown. Marty went to put Elizabeth in the car and I was getting Colby out of the stroller at the back of the Durango. For some stupid reason, Marty came behind me to help, but I didn't see him. I swung around with Colby in my arms and ran smack into Marty. I knocked him off balance and he CRACKED his head open on the rear hatch door, which I had thoughtfully left open so that loading the stroller would be easier. He literally fell to the ground moaning and holding his head and I seriously tried not to laugh. It was not easy because the giggles were boiling up inside of me. Why do I do this???? I managed to get myself under control while I buckled Colby in, and then went back to check on Marty who was still on the ground. (I KNOW!! I AM SO FREAKING MEAN!!) He seriously probably needed a couple of stitches. His head bled all afternoon. We just kept wiping it clean for the pics. Either way, I remained as calm and comforting as i could, until finally we were about halfway downtown and I pictured it again in my head, and just lost it. I was laughing so hard I could hardly drive. And what made it worse, (as if anything could) I kept saying, "Marty I love you (hahahahahahha) so much, (hahahahahahaha) and i am so sorry (hahahahahhahaha) that you are (hahahahhahaha) hurt!! Do you want (hahahhahaha) to go to the (hahahahhahha) ER??"Luckily, he knows how I am and was not pissed.
He is a freaking saint.
